At Florida Vet our grooming ladies are equipped to make your fur-baby look stunning after a wash, dry and a haircut. If your pet requires specific attention, we have our nurses and veterinarians available to assist. We also provide the option of sedating those pets that are a bit more nervous.

The weight clinic at Florida Veterinary hospital is very successful! All the patients on the weight loss programme currently are losing weight. Obesity and excessive weight gain can be very detrimental to health. Losing weight often makes the worlds difference in mobility, activity levels and general habitus in these patients. Our receptionists are running it in conjunction with the Hills Science Plan Food company.
Florida Vet Hospital have refurbished our cat boarding facility that can provide convenient and safe boarding for the cat members of your family when the rest of the family goes on vacation. A boarding facility is available for dogs as well, they are kept outside in spacious runs during the day depending on the weather and are always comfortably indoors during the night. Cats and dogs that needs medication or special attention are welcome and will be under the watchful eye of a veterinary nurse.
The only requirements are that your pet must be fully vaccinated, dewormed and up to date with tick and flea control.

Join our Wellness club to ensure your pet gets optimal preventative health care throughout his/her life! As your fur-baby grows you can join the appropriate group for each phase of his / her life! These health club packages include all the necessary items at a discounted price.
All the initial puppy or kitty vaccinations as well as their sterilisation and deworming medicine is included in these packages. To top it off there are discounts on grooming and tick and flea control if a pet joins one of these clubs.
The Responsible Adults Club is the first of two options for adult animals. This club ensures vaccinations, deworming medicine, tick and flea control as well as regular health, dental and weight checks and a urinalysis per year. Finding a problem before it is serious can help stop the progress of the disease or improve life expectancy through early intervention and proper management. Discounts include 3 free grooming sessions per year for dogs and 15% off boarding at our Cat Hotel. There is an additional 10% discount on the following year’s Wellness package if purchased immediately after expiry of the current one.
The Senior Society is the second of two options for adult animals. This club ensures vaccinations, deworming medicine, tick and flea control as well as regular health, dental and weight checks but also includes screening blood tests, urinalysis and an evaluation of all lumps and bumps every year. Finding a problem before it is serious can help stop the progress of the disease or improve life expectancy through early intervention and proper management. This plan is more important for older pets or pets that have underlying disease conditions. Discounts include 3 free grooming sessions per year for dogs and 15% off boarding at our Cat Hotel for cats. There is an additional 10% discount on the following year’s Wellness package if purchased immediately after expiry of the current one.
